As a consultancy, we work on many different projects, but there are a few themes that are fairly universal in our portfolio. They include Market data management, Integration and further development of ETRM (Energy Trading and Risk Management) systems, and DWH and BI implementations and support.
Our most fun team building was the 10th Anniversary party which was full of surprises, exciting team games, as wall as inspirational speeches. The most special talent in our team is loud laughing.
Cloud Software Engineering Team
What we do
ROITI’s Cloud Software Engineering department specializes in back-end web applications and cloud infrastructure. We primarily utilize Java, C#.NET, Python, SQL, and NoSQL databases, Microsoft Azure, AWS, Docker, Kubernetes, and Kafka. Our mission: to deliver superior software solutions, and chew bubblegum.

Our most interesting business cases include systems for high-frequency algorithmic trading, fault-tolerant trading data management services, and platforms for orchestrating and visualizing forecasting models.

Data Science Team
What we do
ROITI’s Data Science team focuses on advanced analytics and predictive modeling in the context of Energy Trading. Our mission is to support data-driven decision-making for any challenge ahead and we aim to develop more strategic consulting. We are mostly Python developers, with a keen eye for details, a love for data, and a knack for seeking “whys”.
Achievement we are proud of
Reduced electricity grid imbalance via load profile prediction. The new algo outperforms the existing one by 11pp (40%).
Fun fact
We love going to escape rooms and are the only team with a full representation on the dance floor at company parties.
ETRM Development Team
What we do
Our role is to be the bridge between two key sides. On one side are the business people who create ideas, manage processes, and monitor the correct execution, and on the other side are the unlimited possibilities of Endur – the software designed for ETRM (Energy Trading And Risk Management). Our role, as implied, is key and requires both an understanding of business requirements and the ability to develop software scripts to fulfill the set objectives and conditions.

Energy is what moves the world, if you move energy, you move the world. We are proud to have the opportunity to dress up an incredible idea from a colleague in Germany, in a piece of code written in Bulgaria, which then gets deployed on servers in the States.

Many fun stories come from the opportunity to travel and network with very intelligent people, each with a different background and experience. They all have lots of funny stories they like to share in their local Pub.
Business Intelligence Team
What we do
We design ETL, Data Warehousing, and Reporting solutions that are the base of corporate decision-making. With our extensive expertise and broad technological exposure, we provide tailored, cross-platform Business Intelligence solutions to streamline business processes. While others are drowning in data, we are here to make it a delightful swim.
Achievement we are proud of
Designing an end-to-end automated morning check routine. Design and implementation of a PPA reporting Data Warehouse for the Netherlands and the UK. Rebuilding a self-service BI application to visualize average commodity prices

ETRM Solutions Team
What we do
We are a group of Swiss army knife consultants who speak both the language of Business and IT. Our competencies include energy trading: power, gas, oil, emissions, coal, and freight, as well as business analysis, process optimization, integration and optimization of business processes, design of interfaces and deal booking logic, and implementation of new products.

Only roughly 1,000 people in Europe handle the problems that we solve.

Our team mission is also the name of one of our conference rooms: World Domination!
Business Solutions Team
What we do
Our Team provides effective solutions, competent consulting, process optimizations, business analysis, management, and support services throughout the whole project, product, or systems lifecycle. We are involved in all phases, from design through implementation to maintenance, in project structuring, management, and delivery, as BAs, PM(O)s, or Product Owners. We work with various ETRM systems, analysis, project and process management tools, and methodologies to ensure return on clients’ IT investments.

Fun fact
The ROITI tradition of company-sponsored Veselin Marinov concerts originates from a Business Solutions team member. Another fun fact is that we have team members from different countries and various backgrounds.
Business Administration and Development
What we do
We are a team of 3 sub-teams: Administration, HR, and Marketing. What we do in short, is enabling the business to function. The Administration is responsible for documentation, system administration, CSR initiatives, team buildings, and office management. HR is accountable for recruitment, people management, internal trainings, and evaluations. Marketing’s duties include branding, content, digital performance, and development events.
